Our products
Yes. Each coffee is artisanally roasted in our roastery on rue de Montpensier, behind the Palais Royal garden, then ground to order according to your preparation preferences. This freshness is at the heart of our commitment to quality since 1880.
A single-origin coffee comes from a single country, a single region, or even a single plantation. Unlike blends, it expresses the unique character of a terroir: its soil, its altitude, its climate. Verlet pioneered this approach in France, offering single origins since the 1960s.
The grind depends on your brewing method. Generally: fine grind for espresso, medium grind for filter or French press coffee makers, coarse grind for long infusions. If you have a grinder, we recommend whole beans to preserve the aromas for as long as possible.
Store your coffee in an airtight container, away from light, humidity, and heat sources. Avoid the refrigerator, which can alter the aromas through condensation. Ground coffee should ideally be consumed within two to three weeks; whole beans can be stored for several additional weeks without significant loss of quality.
Yes. Verlet has been importing its teas since the late 19th century. Each vintage is selected garden by garden, in China, Japan, India, and other exceptional producing regions. We offer single-origin teas, flavored teas, rooibos, and herbal teas, all chosen with the same high standards as our coffees.
No. By definition, rare and seasonal harvests are available in limited quantities, depending on arrivals and conditions each year. Some coffees, such as Bourbon Pointu from Reunion or Napoleon from Saint Helena, are only available a few months a year. We recommend not waiting to order them when they appear on the website.

Yes. At 256 rue Saint-Honoré, you can settle into our tasting room to enjoy a coffee or tea, accompanied by pastries. The decor, in the spirit of the 1920s, invites you to take your time. No reservation is necessary.
The roastery is a workshop, not regularly open to the public. For any specific request, please contact us directly at 01 42 60 67 39 or via our contact form.
The house was founded in 1880, at 256 rue Saint-Honoré in Paris. In 1921, Auguste Woehrlé, known as Verlet, took over the establishment and gave it his name. Verlet is today considered the oldest Parisian house to perpetuate artisanal roasting, and the first to have offered single-origin coffee tasting in France.
